Linda Bellefeuille is a certified fitness trainer who has taught senior exercise in Sherborn, Hopkinton and numerous other senior centers. She is a Holliston resident and is licensed social worker, a certified massage therapist, and a certified instructor. Exercise is every Tuesday and Thursdays at 10:30 and all levels are welcome!
Description: This exercise class is designed for students of all abilities. The highlight of these classes is the excellent stretching and strengthening movements done with or without weights.
With Linda’s limitless patience and support, everyone is encouraged to try every exercise, but all are cautioned to work within their own limits. Most students will stand; however, some students choose to use the chair for the entire class. All students use the chair for stretching and some of the exercise routines. This class is designed to be a stretching, cardio, balance, memory, and strength training workout. We use weights, elastic resistance, (both provided by the Center) as well as jokes, beach balls, and dowels to add variety and fun into the serious work of keeping Seniors strong and able to perform functional activities of daily living. It is important to wear comfortable clothing (perhaps layers) and supportive shoes. Water is provided; although many students choose to bring their own water bottles. Class size varies and does not exceed 16 people.
